Andrew Byer: Andrew Byer, Attorney, was born to an Italian immigrant mother in 1962 in Jersey City, New Jersey. This blend of American and Italian cultures, which he experienced during his formative years, including time spent in Italy, profoundly influenced his worldview and professional aspirations in international law. Byer completed his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science at Columbia University in 1984, where he also embraced the opportunity to study abroad in France, further cultivating his international perspective. After graduating from Syracuse University College of Law with a Juris Doctor in 1987, Andrew began his legal career in South Florida. His early professional experience included a pivotal role as Lease Administrator and Legal Counsel at Miracle Marketplace shopping mall in Coral Gables. Here, he developed a keen expertise in lease negotiations and tenant relations, foundational skills that would underpin his career in commercial law. In 1990, Andrew's career path shifted towards international business when he became the Director of Operations for Maria Pia, an Italian shoe manufacturer exiting the U.S. market.
